Saumya has over thirteen years of experience in advising, representing and working actively with clients in the public sector, private companies and individuals and assisting them in disputes related matters including matters involving a wide range of issues pertaining to Constitutional Law, Civil and Criminal Law at the Supreme Court of India, High Court of Delhi, various tribunals and quasi-judicial bodies. Saumya is also a certified Arbitrator from the Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation and has presided over several arbitrations as an Arbitrator appointed by the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi and by the parties.

Saumya has worked on various crucial Government cases as a counsel for the Government of NCT of Delhi in the High Court of Delhi and is also empaneled with the Delhi Cooperative Housing Finance Corporation and the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited. Saumya is actively involved in pro bono matters and has conducted cases for the Delhi HighCourt Legal Services Committee and Delhi State Legal Services Authority.

She has remainedactively engaged with cases involving crucial issues of environmental and social importance.

Saumya has keen research skills and has work experience as a Law Researcher at the Delhi High Court with Hon’ble Mr. Justice S. Ravindra Bhat, sitting judge of the Supreme Court of India and also at the National Green Tribunal with the former Chairperson Hon’ble Mr. Justice Swatanter Kumar, former judge of the Supreme Court of India.

Saumya was called to the Bar in the year 2008 after graduating from the Campus Law Centre, Delhi University and completed her masters in International Environmental Law in 2017 from the Amity School of Law, Noida, Amity University.
